Shell Station at Bukit Rimau

Our friends Sueanne and Az (not their real names) recently had the grand opening of their Shell Station at Bukit Rimau (near that Taipei Chinese School). The grand opening was actually in December, but since none of us ol' school gang could make it, we went over to check the station out about 10 days back.

What a sight! Their very own Shell Station :) I'm so happy for you guys!

I forgot to ask them whether their co.'s name has a special meaning behind it. But anyway, it's a nice, well-managed station. I can say this because I know the owners personally, and they're very dedicated to their station, and they try very hard to listen to what their customers have to say. They even have a very nice surau for prayers. Not just a closed-up dingy room like most other places.. the surau is a separate building, with separate rooms for females and males. Very clean, very nice.

So if you're in the area, do show your support, yeah people? ;)

We went for dinner at a nearby restaurant called "Satay vs. Pizza" (they've an outlet in Taipan but this is the first time we tried it). I didn't get to take pictures of the restaurant or food because I didn't bring my camera. Some blogger, eh? That's why these pictures were late in coming coz I had to get em from our pal Eena. Anyway, if you're in Bukit Rimau or Kota Kemuning area, do try the restaurant. The satays were so tender, they taste homemade!

After dinner we went over to look at the unit that Sue and Az are currently renting. Forgot the name of the community, but it's a gated community, with no fences between houses (open concept lah..). Very nice. The best part is that the playground is just outside their back door. Their daughter Alana (two weeks older than Gib) goes there every single day.

Gib wanted to go to the playground as soon as he saw it, but later was much taken up by Alana's amazing collection of toys. Alana even had an indoor mini-playground ;) You know, those units with a small swing and small slide for toddlers. Soo cute. I should've gotten him one a long time ago. If I get it now, he'd outgrow it in less than a year.

Playing swing. He already looks a bit too big on it :p

The highlight of the night however, was...

When Gib walked into the TV room wearing Alana's pink wellingtons (a.k.a. rubber boots!)

GOD it was hillarious! All was relatively quiet while the two toddlers were playing together, and then suddenly I saw that all of a sudden Gib had that mischievous smile on his face (the one that tells me he's up to something), and then in he walked in with the pink wellies. Hooboy. He even tucked in the end of his jeans fashionably into the wellies.

Don't they look darling?!

At the end of the night, they were playing well together. Gib didn't even act rough with Alana, like as if he knew she's a girl and should not be "manhandled"! There were also those funny moments when Alana suddenly started calling Gibran "Abang". Super funny! Gib was throwing a ball around, and that got Alana really excited (like the guy is showing his talent, and the girl is rightfully cheering the fella on!), and then Alana starting shouting; "Go ABANG go go gooooooo!". Totally priceless.

It was a great night and we hope the station will continue to be tremendously successful. You guys deserve it!

And lets just have another look at that macho boy in the pink wellies..
